ABOUT DARREN



Darren Bugg is a marketing and customer service expert with 30 years experience working at a senior level in the private and public sectors. Since 2007 he has been running his own marketing and communications agency based in central Leeds, along with serving in various other business advisory and Non-Executive Director roles. 

Darren has an Honours Degree in Law and a Masters Degree in Marketing and Innovation. He also holds various other postgraduate qualifications in marketing, management and leadership, education, customer service and web design. Darren also lectures on a postgraduate course in Management and Leadership at Leeds City College University Centre.

He is registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers (Registration Number: 10037132) and holds a recognised Award in education and training, along with all the certifications required by the UK Department for Education including DBS, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Channel General Awareness. 


Darren is the founding editor of The Customer Service Blog, the UK's leading blog on the subject of customer service and customer loyalty. Darren holds a certificate in Customer Service (NCFE). His new book on the subject is called The Loyalty Gap and will be published in Autumn 2018.

In his spare time, Darren is a fanatical supporter of Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Club and Lincoln City Football Club. He also loves travel and has spent two periods working in the United States. He has visited over two-thirds of all the states of the USA.
